megan's debut!

Megan joined the church choir and today they performed for the first time. They were amazing!! Ok, we are slightly biased, but these grade school kids were in charge of the whole mass and they totally blew us away! And if any of you don't believe me, we welcome you to come and enjoy them yourselves. They will be performing the 4th Sunday of every month. We'd love to see you there!

Megan is the one on the left closest to the music stand & director. Please try to ignore the annoying fanning guy in front of us!

You'll have to pause the music from the playlist on the blog if you want to hear.

Sorry the end is a bit choppy...there was a little monkey pulling on my arm!

Megan is in the 2nd row, 2nd from the right.

This is how I found my little monkey this morning. Either he was re-sorting my pantry or he was really hungry!

one, two, three!

Staying cool in the neighborhood pool.

puddle jumper

If you have not heard me sing the praises for this yet, listen up. Davis is wearing a "puddle jumper" which is the most fabulous invention yet. It is coast guard approved, super easy to put on, comes in tons of cute colors and animals and allows my little-mr-independent to swim all over the pool by himself. He even jumps in with it on and then takes off swimming. We love it!

silver lining

It was an unforgettable day today as all 4 of us took our first bike ride around our new neighborhood. Megan has just mastered the art of riding her training wheel-free bike and with Davis in tow we decided to see the area around us (sorry for no pictures, but I was part of this adventure and trying to take pics while riding a bike might turn out to be quite a disaster! it would certainly make for some interesting pictures!) . It was another fabulous blue sky California day and I couldn't help but to feel so thankful for such a wonderful day with my family. If things had gone according to plan, I would currently be in the hospital away from them and inhaling only hospital air and missing out on so many things. This last month has been quite a trying time for us all, but I am so grateful for my wonderful husband and precious kids and the many fabulous moments that happen every day. The fact that we had both kiddos in tears and two flat tires before we made it home doesn't change things a bit!

peek....

..a boo!!

feeding the birds

snuggle puppy

Davis so loves his new boom box & the fact that it plays his favorite toon, snuggle puppy (which you can enjoy on this blog!), that he refuses to put it down. Even during nap time! At least it works to put him to sleep!!

twinkle toes

It has begun. Thanks to the intro to these skechers shoes by some fabulous fashion conscious friends in MI, Megan has now entered the world of "I have to have them!". Her daddy and I did not immediately realize that they are just the coolest, but we do have a feeling that from now on Megan will be giving us some serious lessons in what is and what is not. What have we started???

introducing...oddy!

Here is our new pleasure vehicle...the van! While mommy & daddy are still coming to grips with being van owners, Megan & Davis are thrilled with our new toy and can't wait for the next trip!!

biker babe

The hills of SF have seemed daunting to Megan..but today, with a little encouragement from her grandparents, we got Megan back up on her bike. Look out...there's no telling where she might go now! And knowing Davis, he will be right behind her!!

our new "pet" lizzie

Auntie Thomas was kind enough to get us this cute bug house...but the kids have found a lizard to put in it for now. Luckily this is the kind of pet we only keep for a few days!
