busch gardens light tour

Our pictures really do not do this justice.  This was an amazing display of lights of every color & sort.  There was even snow falling in some places and live penguins.  It was a great way to kick off our holiday season!

 

Sydney couldn't get enough of the lights & penguins in this area.  She couldn't even take her eyes off everything long enough to look at the camera!  We waited in line for this exhibit-which ended up featuring all of 4 or 5 live penguins-but it was worth it to see the excitement on her face :)

happy turkey day!!

The day started with a Barta run/walk/bike-athon and ended with some good, turkey-induced sleep :)  We were lucky to share the day with some local cousins.  So many things to be thankful for....

 

 I tried Paula Deen's perfect pie crust recipe this year and it was a hit!  Steve said there is no going back :)

Yay!  The day finally came to take off that pretty purple cast.  Sydney was a little uncertain about the saw, but very brave.  And now she has her arm back!!

Now to figure out how to keep our busy little toddler in one piece....
